How does renting through MotoShare work?
Ride a motorcycle quickly, safely and with insurance
Renting via MotoShare is simple and flexible. Choose from a wide range of motorcycles from private owners, dealers and manufacturers, and find the perfect motorcycle for your ride. After creating an account, select a motorcycle, choose the desired rental period and send a request. Once the owner has agreed, you complete the online payment and the motorcycle is reserved for you. You pay MotoShare and only after a successful rental period does the owner receive his rental income from us. All motorcycles are fully insured, and you arrange pick-up and return directly with the owner. Whether you want to take a test drive, plan a tour or need a replacement vehicle, MotoShare will quickly arrange your ride.

Are you renting through MotoShare? Then you will always get on the motorcycle safely and with full insurance. You do not pay a deposit in advance and there are always at least 100 free kilometres per rental day.

If you want to rent a motorcycle through MotoShare, you must meet the following conditions:
- You must have a valid motorcycle licence
- You must have no history of damage and/or fraud
- You must follow the MotoShare rules
We consider the above conditions to be very important because they contribute to a safe and reliable community on MotoShare.
When renting through MotoShare, the renter and owner enter into a rental agreement. As the renter, you choose a motorcycle and send a rental request to the owner. When the owner accepts your rental request, MotoShare will send you a payment request. Once you have paid, you and the owner have a rental agreement.
Throughout the rental period, the motorcycle is fully insured with third-party liability and comprehensive cover under the MotoShare policy.
After the rental period, don't forget to leave a review. This will help future renters see how they enjoyed the motorcycle and their experience with the owner.

If you already have an account on MotoShare and your details have been approved by Combi Motors Insurance (this will be confirmed by email), you can rent a motorcycle within 2 hours.
I don't have an account on MotoShare yet
In that case, we apply a verification period of up to 1 working day. So, submit a rental request in good time for one of the motorcycles you would like to rent. Submit a rental request for a total of 3 different motorcycles to increase the chance that you can rent one at short notice.
Tip! Some owners have indicated that you can book the motorcycle immediately. This means that you do not have to wait for a response from the owner and you can be sure that you can rent the motorcycle.
Yes! Using MotoShare is completely free. You can create an account on MotoShare and rent a motorcycle at no cost; no membership is required.
If you decide to rent a motorcycle, you only pay for the rental of the motorcycle.
It is possible to rent a motorcycle for someone else through MotoShare. This way, you can give a motorcycle rental as a gift. However, it is important that you meet the following requirements:
- Create the account with the name, address, date of birth and driving licence number of the person for whom you want to rent the motorcycle.
- Send a rental request to the owner of the motorcycle and inform them that you are renting the motorcycle for someone else.
Please note: It is not possible to rent a motorcycle for someone else using your own account. The rental agreement must be in the name of the person who will actually be riding the motorcycle.
You can change your driving licence number and category yourself if, for example, you have a new driving licence.
You can change your driving licence via the driving experienceRijbewijs en ervaring page in your user account. First delete your current driving licence before you can add a new one.
Yes!
If you rent a private motorcycle, you are fully insured (third-party liability and comprehensive cover) during the rental period under the MotoShare policy of Combi Motors Verzekeringen. If you rent a motorcycle from a dealer, you are fully insured during the rental period under the dealer's insurance.
All motorcycles have an excess of €1500 per claim. This amount can be reduced to €1000 for €9.95 per day or to €700 for €22.95 per day

As a renter, you have an excess of €1500 per claim, which you can reduce to €1000 or €700 per claim when booking a rental period. In the event of damage, the excess will be charged at the end of the rental period.
If the damage is less than the chosen excess, the remaining amount will be refunded.
If the renter cancels the rental agreement more than 72 hours before the start of the rental period, MotoShare will issue a voucher that can be used for a subsequent rental. The value of the voucher consists of the amount already paid minus the transaction costs.
If the owner cancels the rental agreement, the rental amount (excluding transaction costs) will be refunded to the renter's account.
Please note: If you cancel less than 72 hours before the start of the rental period, you will not receive a voucher. The amount paid minus the administration costs and insurance will then be paid to the owner.
You can cancel your rental agreement by selecting the agreement in your account under ‘rental overview’ and then clicking on ‘cancel’ in the top right corner.
