The MotoShare policy in collaboration with Combi Motors Verzekeringen is a third-party, fully comprehensive (all-risk) insurance policy for the duration of the rental period that is separate from your regular motorcycle insurance. As the owner, you do not need to take out additional insurance because this is arranged by MotoShare for the duration of the rental period. However, it is important that your motorcycle is insured under third-party insurance by law.
Should damage or theft occur during the rental period, this will not affect your claim-free years with your regular insurer. This is covered by the MotoShare policy.
Want more information? Then read our detailed blog about how your motorcycle is insured during the rental period.
If you want to rent out your motorcycle via MotoShare, go to the page ‘rent out my motorcycle’ in the top right-hand corner to create an account and then register your motorcycle.
You do this by entering the registration number of your motorcycle. You can then add the type, rental price, description and photos of the motorcycle.
You can rent out almost any type of motorcycle through MotoShare. The only exclusions on the MotoShare policy are super sports motorcycles such as a Ducati Panigale, Honda Fireblade or a BMW S1000RR, (motor) scooters such as a Yamaha X-max or a Piaggio Beverly, or motorcycles with a sidecar.
MotoShare, our partners and the users work together to achieve this through:
Verification of all users:
Before the rental begins:
During the rental:
After the rental period:
We do not check the safety of a motorcycle offered. Therefore, before the rental period, the renter should carefully check the safety of the motorcycle together with the owner and go through the BRAVOK safety checks.
The collection location of your motorcycle is only visible to the renter once you have accepted the rental request. For all other users, the location of your motorcycle is not known, but the area where the motorcycle is located is visible.
It is possible for someone else to arrange the transfer of the motorcycle for you or to accept your rental requests. However, you remain responsible for the proper handling of the rental, whereby the Transfer Form is signed by the renter and owner at the start and return of the motorcycle at all times.
If this is not the case, there can be no claim on the insurance in the event of damage or a payout for additional kilometres driven and/or a traffic violation.

When a renter sends a rental request, you as the owner choose whether or not to accept the request. If you accept the rental request, MotoShare will send a payment request to the renter.
Once the renter has paid, you and the renter have a rental agreement. When a renter sends a rental request, you as the owner choose whether to accept the request. You can use your account to determine the settings of your motorcycle, such as availability and rental price.
