MotoShare is a platform that allows dealers to easily rent motorcycles to a community of over 75,000 motorcyclists.

The platform automates reservations, payments and insurance, saving dealers time and attracting new customers. In addition, MotoShare checks each user for damage and fraud history to make and keep rentals safe and reliable.

MotoShare offers free registration, no fixed costs, and a simple rental process. You only pay a commission when you actually rent out your motorcycle.

Rental is possible with your own insurance that covers your motorcycles or is often part of your business insurance.

Renters indicate in advance why they want to rent a motorcycle, and in many cases this is for a long test ride of one or more days. In 15 to 20 percent of cases, this is a serious sales opportunity for a new customer in your business.

Verifying all users:

• Combi Motors Insurance checks every registered user against the Fraud Information System Holland (FISH).
• MotoShare checks the driving licence number of the renter and owner with the RDW.
• MotoShare checks the registration number of the motorcycle offered on MotoShare with the RDW.

Before the start of the rental:

• The renter pays the rental price in advance via MotoShare. We then pay the owner after a successful rental period to keep it safe for the renter.
• Go through the BRAVOK safety checks and the security requirements for your motorcycle with the renter.
• We check the validity of the renter's driving licence before the rental period starts. However, always check this yourself when the renter picks up the motorcycle by physically asking for it.

After the rental:

• After the rental, the owner and renter must rate each other. This ensures that abuse never gets a second chance should something happen.

Please note: We do not check the safety of a motorcycle offered for rental. The owner must therefore check the safety of the motorcycle thoroughly with the renter before the rental period and complete the BRAVOK safety checks listed on the Transfer Form that we create and send for each rental period.

If you want to rent out your motorcycles via MotoShare, go to the ‘rent out my motorcycle’ page at the top right. On this page, you can create an account and then register your motorcycle.

You do this by entering the registration number of your motorcycle. You can then add the type, rental price, description and photos of the motorcycle.

Yes! Using MotoShare is completely free. You can create an account and rent out your motorcycle via MotoShare at no cost. There is no membership fee and no fixed costs.

We only take a commission on the rental price paid by the renter when you actually rent out your motorcycle.

Very simple. MotoShare takes care of the administration, including reservations, payments and checking renters. We also provide support in handling damage and traffic violations, should this occur.

Dealers only need to register their motorcycles and set their availability. You can create a business account here.

Customers reserve motorcycles online via MotoShare. As the owner, you determine the rental price and availability. Once the reservation is confirmed, the dealer automatically receives the payment minus a small commission, and we create the rental documents.

On the day of the rental, all you have to do is prepare the motorcycle and go through the rental documents with the renter. We ensure that the renter has already made the payment and check the validity of their driving licence. We also keep the rental safe by checking each renter in advance for damage and fraud history in collaboration with Combi Motors Insurance. If anything comes to light, we cancel the booking in advance to ensure that the rental remains safe.

Creating an account and registering motorcycles is completely free.

MotoShare charges 12.4% excluding VAT on the rental price as commission. As the owner, you set your own rental price and have the option to encourage multi-day bookings by offering reduced rates for multiple days of rental.

This depends on the number of motorcycles and the rental price. Many dealers generate significant additional income through frequent rentals, and for a large number of dealers, the annual turnover from renting through MotoShare runs into tens of thousands of pounds.

Apart from direct revenue from rentals, rentals often attract new motorcyclists to your business, and between 15 and 20% of rentals result in serious sales leads.

MotoShare only facilitates insurance for private owners. If you want to rent out your motorcycle commercially, it is important that you have your own insurance that covers rental for your motorcycles.
