Three-country point by motorcycle

The only place in the Netherlands where three countries meet is at the top of the Vaalserberg. This is where the Netherlands borders Belgium and Germany. You can take a break and enjoy the unforgettable view from the Boudewijn tower. At a height of fifty metres you have a view of our neighbouring countries and the hills of South Limburg.

Maasplassen on your motorcycle

The Maasplassen, the largest continuous water sports area in the Netherlands, is located just south of Roermond in the heart of Limburg. The area has a water surface of over 3000 hectares. You can swim, sail, row and fish here. A tour of the area's lakes and canals by motorcycle is also unforgettable!

Maastricht by motorcycle

Maastricht is undoubtedly the most exuberant city in our country. In the historic centre you will find beautiful shops, excellent restaurants and cosy cafes. Cruise along the banks of the Maas on your motorcycle and enjoy a cup of coffee and the view of the 13th-century Sint Servaasbrug bridge. Harley Davidson rally

Motorcycle routes in Limburg

Limburg is a great province for a motorcycle ride. Limburg means space and beautiful farmland. You will be surprised by the rugged nature in this province. Marvel at the unprecedented views over the Wadden Sea. Our three favourite routes

1. Mergelland route

The ANWB has mapped out several tourist routes in our country for cyclists, cars and motorcycles. They can be recognised by the brown, hexagonal route signs. You can start the route in many places. For example in Maastricht, Noorbeek, Wittem, Schin op Geul or Walem. The route takes you along the most beautiful roads in the south of Limburg. Enjoy the winding, hilly roads!

2. North Limburg and a bit of Belgium

This route starts along the A2 near Nederweert. You will enter Belgium via the Maas river, passing the Beegderheide nature reserve and the ‘white village’ of Thorn. You will return to the Netherlands via Roosteren, passing through Kessenich and Geistingen, among other places. After a tour of Ohé en Laak, Stevensweert and Maasbracht, you will return to Belgium and via beautiful back roads you will enter the Netherlands for the second time at Stramproy. Then take the back roads back to Nederweert!

3. Three-country route

Even on weekends when Pinkpop is not being organised, it is worth riding your motorcycle to Landgraaf. A wonderful 175-kilometre criss-cross route starts at the Hotel Landgoed Overste Hof in Landgraaf. You will quickly enter the German Eifel and take some beautiful back roads to Belgium. You will then take some lovely winding roads back to Limburg.

Sample Limburg life on one of the three terraces of this beautiful restaurant. There is an ice cream terrace to enjoy an ice cream and behind the farm is the rear terrace that is covered by a mobile winter garden. There is also a terrace under the trees. According to many visitors, the Bernardushoeve has the most beautiful view in the Netherlands.
