De Africa Twin kreeg een upgrade. Het is nog altijd die verbazingwekkend handelbare avonturenfiets die het altijd al geweest is - krachtig genoeg om tot op de limiet te gaan - maar met extra koppel onderin voor dagelijks gebruik. Een nieuw verstelbaar scherm maakt die ritten op de weg ineens een stuk comfortabeler. Tubeless banden zijn makkelijker te herstellen. En de optionele elektronisch gestuurde vering op de Africa Twin ES, met Showa EERA™, opent ineens nieuwe perspectieven voor avontuur. Deze motor betreft een automaat (DCT) de Zithoogte is 850 mm, met een verstelbaar zadel.
